As I think everyone knows by now, Avalon Books was bought out by Amazon. I'll be honest and tell you that when the change in ownership occurred we wondered if this blog should continue. Would we still be relevant? After much soul-searching (and you don't know soul-searching until you've listened in on a group of soul-searching writers), we decided to continue - but with a new format. Check in from time to time to see what we have up our collective sleeves. We are excited by our new direction and the possibilities it offers.
One of the benefits of this change to Avalon authors and, we believe, to our readers, is that our books will now be available as ebooks and in paperback format. Two of my books (Put Out the Light and Left at Oz) are already available in those formats. Tomorrow (Nov. 20), two more will become available. They are

My first thought when I started this post was to include all of the Avalon books that will be released as ebooks this month. However, there are quite a few so, to avoid leaving someone out, I'm asking the other authors to leave a link and a little something about their book in a comment.
Of course, we're all still working on new books, which will be published by a variety of publishers. In addition, some of us are taking advantage of the amazing opportunities offered by the various self-publishing venues. You'll be hearing about those books here from time to time. You'll also be privy to bargains when we offer our books at a reduced price or even free. And we'll be sharing our thoughts, not only on writing, but on life as we see it. It should be interesting. This is a diverse and lively group.

Great opening, Sandy. I'm excited about the new blogging venture for all our Avaloners. Congratulations to everyone on your new ebook releases.
Thanks, Loretta. I think it's going to be fun.
Thank you for telling everyone about our new releases Sandy, and for keeping this blog going.
It's an exciting time for all authors.
I, too, have two re-releases tomorrow. A Run for the Money is about a couple who must participate in a scavenger hunt to find a treasure: http://amzn.com/B00A9S4RYI and The Bonds of Matri-money is my story where Survivor meets The Newlywed Game with handcuffs! http://amzn.com/B00A22FETS
Congratulations on the re-releases, Gina. Since I've read other books by you, I'm confident these will be great reads. Now I'm off to fire up my Kindle.
At last I can catch up on all my Avalon friends books without breaking the bank!
My feelings exactly, Lis! Love your post, Sandy, and am looking forward to this new and revived blog!
