Products that don't exist

There are moments when I wonder when it will be invented - the product I need right now.
One of these moments is when I step out of the shower and feel that the skin on my back needs lotion. I can't spread lotion evenly on my own back. Oh, all right, so I can reach all parts if I try hard and distord myself from right to left like a snake with a tummy-ache. But I would like to spread the lotion more evenly. Is there such a thing as a spatula with an extra-long handle and an extra-soft front piece to put lotion on your back? Maybe it has been invented a long time ago and I just never saw it?
Also, how about a mattress turner? These things are so darn heavy and unwieldy. And yet, people tell us that it's good if you turn your mattress regularly, like once a month or so, so it'll be more evenly used.
Well.
How about all the singles in this world who sleep in large beds? Have you ever tried to turn that mattress all by yourself? You risk being hit over the head with it - softly, of course, but enough to make you see stars. I hate to turn the mattress, even with the help of my husband. So who will invent a mattress turner? Maybe it'll work with a sort of mechanism - you push a button on your bed, and the mattress will be catapulted toward the ceiling where it'll do a sort of elegant looping roll-over. The only thing you have to avoid is hitting it by mistake while being on top.
On second thoughts, maybe I understand that the mattress-turner hasn't been invented yet.
How about you? Have you been wondering why some things just haven't been invented in our highly developed world? Tell me about them - maybe we can create a book out of it - each of us takes one missing product and weaves a story all around it!

It seems to me that if someone could invent a mattress turner, it wouldn't be too much trouble to add a bed-maker (including, of course, a pillow-fluffer) while they're at it. I'd be willing to pay a bit extra for this option. Please let me know if you find one.

. . . oh, yes, and I've just thought of another one - a broom that swipes the floor all by itself - like the lawn mower that cuts the grass without help (these do exist already!)

I just thought of another one: moisture-sensing windows that close when it starts to rain. It would save me closing windows and coming home to a stuffy house when the forcasters say it MIGHT rain. I could really use that.

Beate, they already have the automatic floor sweeper: a Roomba (and a Scooba for washing the floor). I'm waiting for the robot housekeeper like Rosie on The Jetsons.

Oh, I didn't know that, Gina. I have to check it out, thank you so much. They sure found nice names for them!
Sandy, I think this kind of window-control-system does exist. I believe I've seen it for glass-houses that measure the temperature, moisture, etc., and then adjust all the glass penals automatically. Probably cost a bomb, though.
